Delicious One Pot Beef & Potato Rice
Delicious One Pot Beef & Potato Rice is a superb meal by itself. The recipe is really easy and the steps involved are really simple.
Delicious One Pot Beef & Potato Rice is made with beef cubes, potatoes and basmati rice cooked in an aromatic Indian spice combination
I have used basmati rice here in this recipe.you can substitute the rice as per your availability.

Delicious One Pot Beef & Potato Rice with step by step photos
1.Heat up oil, add cloves and cardamom
2.Add ginger, garlic and chopped red chilli
3.Turmeric powder and chilly powder, cook for a minute
4.Add 1/2 cup of beef and cook over a medium flame for 2-3 minutes
6.Cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes
7.Add 1/2 basmati rice
8.Add 1 cup of water and salt
9.Add 1/2 diced potatoes and chopped coriander leaves.
10.Cover with a lid and cook until done.
- Extra virgin olive oil- 1 Tbsp
- Cloves – 4 each
- Cardamom – 2 each
- Garlic – 1/2 Tsp, chopped
- Ginger -1/2 Tsp, chopped
- Red chilly- 2. chopped
- Turmeric powder -3/4 Tsp
- Chilly powder – 1/2 Tsp
- Beef – 1/2 diced
- Basmati rice – 1/2 cup
- Potatoes- 1/2 cup, peeled and diced
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves – 1 Tbsp, chopped
- Before you begin cooking, make sure to prep all veggies and meat. Set aside.
- Heat up a pot, add oil.
- Add cloves and cardamom to it and let it fry for 30 seconds.
- Then add chopped garlic, ginger and red chilly.
- Let it cook for a minute.
- Then add turmeric and chilly powder and cook over a slow flame for a minutes.
- Now add diced beef and cook over a medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
- Add 1/2 cup water to it and cover with a lid.
- Cook the beef for about 10 minutes and add basmati rice.
- Add diced potatoes, salt and chopped coriander leaves.
- Mix well and bring to a boil.
- Then reduce the flame to simmer and cover with a lid.
- Cook until done, this should take about 16-18 minutes.
- Once done, remove the cover and using the back side of a spoon mix slowly to combine.
- Serve hot. Enjoy!
