Chicken Aloo is an absolutely delicious recipe made with chicken cubes and potatoes are  cooked in an rich, aromatic and flavorful onion-tomato-cashew nuts based sauce.

How To Make Chicken Aloo (Chicken & Potato Curry)

Start with a tempering of cumin seeds, then chicken is sealed and the gravy or the sauce is added to it. A very easy recipe with few simple steps to be followed.

How To Make Chicken Aloo (Chicken & Potato Curry) with step by step photos..

1.Heat up oil, add cumin seeds. Fry for a minute

2.Add chicken, cook over a high heat for 2-3 minutes. Then add ginger-garlic paste and green chilly.

3.Blend onion,tomato, cashew nuts and add it to chicken.

5.Add crushed kasoori methi.

6. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oi – 1 Tsp
  • Cumin seeds- 1 Tsp
  • Chciken -800 gms, boneless
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 Tsp
  • Green chilly – 2 chopped
  • Onion -2
  • Tomato – 2
  • Cashew nuts – 1 Tbsp
  • Turmeric – 1 Tsp
  • Chilly powder – 1 1/2 Tsp
  • Garam masala – 1 Tsp
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients

  • To begin with, take onion, tomato, cashew  nuts in a blender.
  • Blend to fine paste and set aside.
  • Heat up a skillet, add vegetable oil.
  • Add cumin seeds, fry for a minute.
  • Add chicken and stir fry over high heat.
  • When all the sides are sealed (2-3 minutes), add ginger garlic paste.
  • Cook for minute and add chopped green chillies.
  • Now add the tomato-onion paste.
  • Cook over a slow flame for 2 minutes.
  • Add salt, turmeric, chilly and garam masala powder.
  • Simmer until chicken is cooked.
  • Add crushed kasoori methi and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Adjust seasoning and serve.
