Healthy Green Gram Dal / Mung Bean Dal Recipe

Who doe not like mung bean, does anyone? I love mung beans, my mother has an array of dishes made with green gram or mung beans, such as mung bean thoran, mung beans mezhukku, sprouted mung bean salad, rice and mung bean payasam, cheera and cherupayar curr, etc

Let’s get to the recipe, you need to soak the mung beans 2-4 hours ( 4 hours of soaking is preferred). I have used vegetable oil for this recipe, but I have seen recipes with mustard oil as well, so you may use oil of your choice.

First cook off the powdered spices and green gram is added to it with water and cook on a slow fire until the desire consistency is achieved. I hope  you all will like this Healthy Green Gram Dal / Mung Bean Dal Recipe and do not forget to leave me your feedback in the comment section below.
