1.Heat oil, fry mustard seeds.

2.Add cumin seeds and dry chilly.

3.Add onion and cook till soft.

4.Add cauliflower and mix well.

5.Add ginger-garlic paste. Cook for 2 minutes.

6.Add tumeric, coriander powder and chilly powder.Cook for 2 minutes

7.Add water as needed.(Just enough to cook the cauliflower)

8.Cook until cauliflower is done.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil -1 Tbsp
  • Dried red chilly – 2
  • Mustard seeds -1/2 Tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 Tsp
  • Onion – 2 sliced
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 Tsp
  • Cauliflower – 700 gms, florets
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 Tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 Tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilly – 1 Tsp
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Heat up a pot and add oil to it.
  2. Add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
  3. Add cumin seeds and  dried chilly.
  4. Cook for a minute and let the flavors to infuse in the oil.
  5. Add onion, salt and cook until soft.
  6. Add cauliflower and mix well.
  7. Add ginger-garlic paste.
  8. Cook over a low flame for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Now add turmeric, kashmiri chilly and coriander powder.
  10. Cook over a low flame until flavor becomes apparent.
  11. Add 1/2 cup of water.
  12. Cook over a medium flame until the cauliflower is done.
  13. Adjust the seasoning and serve hot.
