Spicy Green Beans & Broccoli Stir Fry

I like cooking with green beans and would like to experiment different flavor combinations with green beans. Sometimes I don’t get what I intended and I keep trying until I perfect that particular combination. Spicy Green Beans & Broccoli Stir Fry is one of those recipes I have tried multiple times before I get the flavor and taste right.

 Spicy Green Beans & Broccoli Stir Fry Recipe..

Ingredients

  • Broccoli – 300 gms
  • Green Beans – 400 gms
  • Vegetable Oil- 1 Tbsp
  • Garlic – 2 cloves, sliced
  • Green chilly – 2, slit
  • Onions- 2 medium, sliced
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 Tsp
  • Chilly powder – 1/2 Tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1/4 Tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1/4 Tsp
  • Tomato – 2 medium, sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves – 1 Tbsp, chopped

Directions

  1. Wash broccoli and green beans under cold running water.
  2. Cut broccoli into florets and set aside.
  3. Cut green beans into 2 cm length batons.
  4. Heat oil in a sauce pan over medium high heat.
  5. Slide in sliced onions and garlic and saute until soft.
  6. Sprinkle powdered spices such was turmeric, cumin, chilly and coriander.
  7. Reduce the fire to slow and cook powdered spices well.
  8. Add sliced tomatoes and cook till mushy.
  9. Now add, broccoli florets and green beans and stir fry.
  10. You can add little water at stage to speed up the cooking process.
  11. Increase the fire to medium high and continue to stir fry until done.
  12. Adjust the seasoning and sprinkle chopped coriander.
