Sambharam/ Spiced Buttermilk

Sambharam, an excellent summer drink. Sambharam or spiced buttermilk is the best option to quench your thirst during the summer season and is very good for health also.

Ingredients

  • Yogurt – 300 gms
  • Water- 400 ml
  • Bird eye chilly/ Kanthari mulaku – 4-5 pcs
  • Curry leaves – 1 sprig
  • Ginger– 1 Tbsp, chopped
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Beat yogurt in a bowl.
  2. Take all the ingredients in a food processor, blend for 5 seconds.
  3. If you wish to strain, strain through fine mesh-strainer.
  4. You can even enjoy the drink without straining.
  5. Refrigerate before serving.
