Yes, I have made this super delicious, super nutritious, super easy to make Quinoa Breakfast Smoothie  this morning and enjoyed it.  Well, the first time I made quinoa smoothie for myself I did not quite really like it, I think I have gone over board with the amount quinoa in the recipe. But then, nothing did stop me from making a perfect and tasty quinoa smoothie.

Truth to be told, I have a very sensitive taste buds and some reason I did not like the taste of quinoa in my smoothie, so I had to brain storm and come up with a perfect balance in between quinoa and other ingredients in the recipe.

Quinoa Berries & Apple Breakfast Smoothie

Quinoa Berries & Apple Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients

  • Quinoa – 150 gms, cooled and cooled down
  • Greek Yogurt – 100 gms
  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Apple- 4 each
  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries
  • Banana (optional)
  • Honey – 4 Tbsp
  • Ice cubes – 1 cup

Directions

  1. First step is to cook the quinoa- take quinoa and 350 ml of water in medium pot  and bring to boil.
  2. Reduce fire to simmer and cook till soft. Cool down.
  3. Take all ingredients in to your blender and blend till smooth.
  4. Serve cold.

Note: Banana is optional, I have added to give body to smoothie.
