Netholi Fry / Anchovy Fry

Netholi or Kozhuva or Anchovy  fish is marinated with turmeric powder, chilly powder , salt, curry leaves, rice flour and then shallow fried to really crispy in texture. This crunchy and super delicious Netholi Fry / Anchovy Fry is a favorite of many Keralites.  The best thing I like about netholi fish is that their size , they are pretty small (the smaller the better right?) yet they are tasty. Available almost every season of the year and comparatively inexpensive too.

I tell you favorite combination- boiled rice, pulissery, cherupayaru thoran and netholi fry. If anyone has tried this combination ever before or want to try, let me know.
