Mixed Green, Radish, Tomato, Cucumber Salad

I love salads, I prefer to eat salads as a main course. Salads are easy to make, healthy and at the same time very  satisfying too. I rely on salads when I have limited time to cook. Lately I have been eating a lot of salads and mixed green,  radish, tomato, cucumber salad with Thai dressing is one of my favorites.

Radish-the red colored, rounded, peppery, crunchy root vegetable -was not my favorite at all. Things have changed ever since I have started including them in my salads. Now that I have even started making curries with them. The best part about radishes is that they are available round the year and does not cost you much as well..

I have been trying a lot of different types dressings with my salads and the spicy Thai dressing has become one of favorite dressings now.  Try out this mixed green, radish, tomato.cucumber salad with Thai dressing and let me know your comments please..

  • Mixed green – 300 gms
  • Tomato – 3 medium,sliced
  • Cucumber – 1,sliced
  • Radish as needed, sliced
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Salt as needed

For Thai dressing:


  • Green chilly – 1 each
  • Garlic – 5 cloves
  • Ginger -1/2 inch
  • Lemon juice – 1 Tbsp
  • Thai basil  as needed
  • Olive to blend
  • Salt as needed
  • Black pepper as needed



  1. Slice onion, tomato and cucumber.
  2. Wash and drain the salad leaves
  3. To make the Thai dressing- in a jar blender, take all the ingredients for making dressing.
  4. Blender them to a chunky consistency.
  5. If you can not find the Thai basil, replace it the available basil.
  6. Take the mixed green, tomato,cucumber and radish in a bowl.
  7. Pour the dressing over it mix it gently.

Note: Some of you may not be comfortable with the radish, either you can skip or adjust the quantity to make it palatable for you.
