Kiwi Jam
Kiwi jam, a kid’s special. If you have kids at home, then you should have kiwi jam on your kitchen shelf, as they will like home made jam’s more than anything else and is a perfect spread for bread, roti’s , or even for dosa.
Kiwi fruit is good source for Vitamin C, aids digestion and very good source of dietary fiber.
Ingredients
- Kiwi – 200 gms
- Sugar – 10o gms
- lemon juice – 1 Tbsp
- Honey – 3 Tbsp
Directions
- Wash and peel the skin.
- Remove the core and roughly chop.
- In food pan, take kiwi, sugar and honey.
- Bring them to a boil.
- Reduce the flame, add sugar and mash the kiwi fruit using the back side of the spoon..
- Continue to cook on a slow flame until the sugar is dissolved.
- When the sugar is completely dissolved, bring again to boil and add lemon juice.
- Switch off the fire, let it cool down at room temperature.
- Use sterilized jars and bottles for storing and always leave some head space.
